Message From The Board:

Hello CVN 77 Families and Friends,

Some days have flown by and others have seemed to dragged along but we have made it halfway! This is the time to take a moment to look how far we have came, how much we've accomplished and start getting to those "I'll do it when they are gone" lists.   Take a second to congratulate yourself and remember it's down hill from here.

The CVN 77 Board and Homecoming Committee are busy planning homecoming festivities. There are lots of questions arising about these events, please be patientand understand once the information is available it will be shared.

There are some great outings and fundraisers in the next few months below, make sure to mark your calendars and we'll see you there.

"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" - Dori

Best Regards,
The CVN 77 FRG Board

Message from The Ombudsman:

Congratulations to all the new PO3,PO2's, and PO1's this exam cycle! We are looking forward to the upcoming chief results also being released before the ship pulls in. To those who did not advance this cycle keep pushing ahead, studying and getting qualified.  We are proud of each and every one of you and all you do.

Hurricane season is upon us, starting June 1st through the end of November. Everyone needs to have a plan now how to handle storm season. Please make sure you have a hurricane survival kit packed with all the essential items you will need and mapped out several evacuation routes in case there is a need to leave. Please take a moment to review the information on this website (https://www.ready.gov/hurricanes?gclid=CPunsNXciNQCFZ2Pswod2vQKNQ) for what to do if a hurricane comes.

Department of the Month- : CRMD

Greetings from the Command Religious Ministries Department (CRMD)!

Our work is critical to the morale of our ship’s crew. CRMD ensures that all personnel can exercise their constitutional right to practice their faith as they choose. In addition to providing 37 religious services and studies each week, CRMD also offers 100% confidential counseling to all personnel regardless of religious background; provides 24/7 pastoral care during urgent or emergency situations; coordinates service projects in home and overseas ports; offers the United Through Reading program connecting all personnel with their children; processes American Red Cross emergency notifications; and manages the library named after our ship’s sponsor, Dorothy Bush Koch, the daughter of our namesake. The library includes over 3,500 Books, over 2,500 DVDs and 11 musical instruments – all available for checkout.

CRMD consists of five chaplains and eight assistants. We are privileged to serve alongside your Sailor. While we acknowledge their hard work, we recognize that our mission is worldwide because you are holding down the fort where you are. Thank you for all you do to support us and please know we are praying for you daily. May God bless you with courage and strength as we all press forward toward the home stretch. Team CRMD
